About Stillwater Edge

Stillwater Edge was founded in 2025 to fill a growing gap in fly fishing education one focused entirely on Stillwater. As one of the fastest-growing fisheries in North America, Stillwater fly fishing is rich with opportunity, but detailed instruction and modern resources have remained limited and scare.

Founder Greg Keenan launched Stillwater Edge to help change that. After 20+ years of fishing, now guiding, and teaching. Stillwater Edge recognizes that anglers needed more than just random advice they needed hyper focused, practical education designed specifically for lakes. Stillwater Edge was built to meet that need with a fresh, tactical, and no-fluff approach.

This brand wouldn’t exist without the influence of Stillwater legends like Brian Chan and Phil Rowley. Their work has paved the way for so many anglers in this space, including Greg. Their dedication, innovation, and willingness to share have shaped the foundation on which Stillwater Edge now stands. Inspired by their legacy, Greg created Stillwater Edge as a way to give back to the community and help the next generation of stillwater anglers grow with confidence.

Stillwater Edge blends traditional instruction with modern platforms  from downloadable courses and curated gear to guided trips and live learning. It’s also home to The Stillwater Edge Podcast, a BI-weekly series delivering sharp, under 15-minute episodes packed with tactics, insight, and clarity for anglers who want to level up quickly.

At its core, Stillwater Edge is about education both on the water and in the classroom. Stillwater Edge is here to build better anglers, honour those who’ve trail blazed before us, and move Stillwater fly fishing forward with a bold, informed, and passionate voice and advocates.
